The swell of the violins as villainous penguin Feathers McGraw looked menacingly at Gromit had us all on the edge of our seats and the eerie bass notes of the brass, string and woodwind instruments added tension, film- noir style. As the credits rolled, the orchestra’s rousing rendition of the Wallace and Gromit theme tune brought the house down.
